At the beginning of 2021, Adaptricity was awarded the Watt d'Or 2021 energy prize by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy. The award is for our innovative grid monitoring software Adaptricity.Mon. Why was Adaptricity.Mon awarded?

Adaptricity.Mon continuously evaluates the network status in detail, based on very different network and measurement data. On the one hand, this is technically innovative and at the same time meets a new customer need, which also makes the product commercially successful .

The software is currently being rolled out to four network operators in German-speaking countries. The software is thus already being used productively in day-to-day network operations, and talks are taking place with various other interested parties.

Adaptricity.Mon is the innovative tool for grid operators who want to use their smart meters not only for regulatory mandated billing processes, but also as grid sensors for monitoring distribution grid operations. The network transparency thus created enables more secure and efficient network operation.

Adaptricity.Mon in brief

Adaptricity.Mon offers comprehensive grid monitoring with the help of smart meters and measuring devices in transformer stations. In doing so, we go far beyond a mere visualisation of measured values. Thanks to the merging of all data with the grid model, a load flow calculation is carried out at every time step. This provides customers with precise information on voltage bands and utilisation of operating resources at least every quarter of an hour - fully automatically and up-to-date on a daily basis. Our entry-level monitoring product Adaptricity.PQ allows the visualisation of existing measurement data, e.g. from PowerQuality devices in transformer stations and distribution cabins, with the same graphical user interface, even without a network model.
We evaluate the data in a structured way to detect limit violations and make unfavourable trends in grid operation visible. A complete power quality report according to EN 50160 can be generated at the push of a button..
